Sarah brings over 19 years of experience in fitness and nutrition to her coaching. Her career journey and passion for travel led her from Burlington, Vermont to Bali, Miami, and Las Vegas. In 2004 she was drawn to Boulder, and promises never to move again (except for vacations). In addition to owning Real Fitness Coaching LLC, she has held a broad spectrum of wellness focused positions including, director of the Recreational Sports Aerobic Program at the University of Vermont, primary aerobic instructor for Club Med in Port St. Lucie, FL, Bone density and Body composition testing specialist and personal trainer at Pritikin Longevity Center & Spa in Aventura, FL, and Admissions Director at the Professional Fitness Institute in Las Vegas, NV.
Her teaching experience includes creating and leading an aerobic instructor training program at the University of Vermont and teaching business, anatomy, physiology, and pathology at PFI. She holds a degree in nutrition from the University of Vermont and is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Additional certifications include Functional Movement Screen Level I & II, Reiki II, CPR, and AED. She is also certified through Precision Nutrition Level 1. She enjoys salsa dancing, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, backpacking and all the beauty Colorado has to offer.
